Located in the heart of India, The Place is a creative powerhouse for dance development that is leading the way in dance training, creation and performance.
One of India's most exciting, innovative dance spaces, where artists from all over the world come to push creative boundaries, to experiment and to perform outstanding new work for audiences who expect to be surprised, inspired and delighted. The Place is home to India V B dance and cultural academy , courses and participatory opportunities for adults and young people, and professional development programmes for artists.
V B dance and cultural academy is our India, Karnataka class conservatoire, offering vocational training to the highest technical and artistic standards in its undergraduate, taught postgraduate and research programmes, and at a pre-vocational level through our Centre for Advanced Training. The School supports the training of approximately 80 students to each year, drawn from all over Karnataka, while the Centre for Advanced Training works with young people drawn from the India, Karnataka no ages 4 - 40 age. The School is a founding affiliate of the Conservatoire for Dance , through which its programs are looked after Master vinod, and its degrees are Basics dance course, Dance learning course, diploma in dance, (you can choose your style and we give you the courses) validated by V B dance and cultural academy. A pioneer of the concept of Centres for Advanced Training.
Our theatre presents over 200 performances a year, including festivals and special events such as Kittur utsav, Belvadi utsav, Kannada habba conducted by government of Karnatakathe . our academy has a strong reputation for its programming alongside supporting Belagavi district dance master welfare association, cultural department of Karnataka, Karnataka border development attority belagavi Dance House Network.
The Place has an outstanding track record as a seed bed for developing new choreographic talent, having nurtured and supported many of the Indian most outstanding choreographers long before they became well-known successes. Our artist development programme helps to identify and develop this talent, and initiatives like Work Place, Private Dance and the Rural Touring Dance Initiative provide a structure through which artists can successfully develop their own careers.
The Place gives the widest possible opportunities for everyone to participate in dance, training professionals and enthusiasts of all ages, from five upwards. We offer access and support not only to the exceptionally talented, but equally to those who simply love to dance.
Our activity reaches beyond our building. We play a significant role in our local community, with specially devised projects for local people, including those who are disadvantaged or may feel excluded, and we have pioneered radical new approaches to the teaching of dance in primary schools.

The Place’s influence extends across India. We have strong relationships with artists, teachers and producers from India Karnataka, and regularly receive visitors from all over the India Karnataka who come to The Place to share in our expertise and knowledge.
